Study Opportunities/Faith Development

We are a community called to Invite people to Jesus Christ, Grow Disciples of Jesus Christ, and Show the Love of Jesus Christ

Small groups are a means Christians have used since the early church to carry out the mission of the church. From Acts 2:

"They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. …Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved."

Small groups continue to gather us together to share in the tasks of inviting (connecting), developing (teaching/learning) and sending (being Christ’s hands and feet in the world.) In small groups we gather with our individual spiritual journeys, share, and grow both as individuals and as a community as we accomplish our goals of discipleship.

The most basic question everyone faces in life is Why am I here? What is my purpose? Self-help books suggest that people should look within, at their own desires and dreams, but Rick Warren says the starting place must be with God and his eternal purposes for each life. Real meaning and significance comes from understanding and fulfilling God’s purposes for putting us on earth.
